Our teacher began training during the “Wing Chun Wars” of the late 1980s and was one of the youngest people ever to beome a Wing Chun instructor. However, unlike many in the martial arts, he does not give himself the title of coach, “Sifu”, “Master” or anything else - he’s a student of Wing Chun first and foremost.

He is a Wing Chun guide, insider and guru who has
sought out and trained with some of the best Wing Chun masters in the world and now carries the torch of Wing Chun forward for the next generation.

He has lived and trained in Hong Kong and China and has distilled traditional methods into a practical and efficient training system that emphasises directness, hidden power and clever strategy.

Over the course of nearly 40 years he has refined and tested his Wing Chun from the Thai Boxing rings of Thailand and South Korea to the backstreets of Kowloon. He is the only Wing Chun instructor to have coached the police Tactical Aid Unit.

He has trained and competed in Thai Boxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and draws on innovative coaching methods from across the martial arts.

A chance meeting on a train in Hong Kong with a master of “Iron Wire” kung fu led him to cross train in this unusual conditioning system and incorporate some of the methods of this unique style into his Wing Chun.
